After having set up a sample project, it is best to have an effective and informative spreadsheet. A well thought out Excel worksheet can make it easier for you to do your research and even see which data points you are getting.
If you know nothing about Excel, you may be tempted to just use the spreadsheets provided by Microsoft and believe them to be great at what they are designed to do. But be warned that there are a lot of poor ones out there on the internet. I am going to show you how to make the most of Excel.
Use Excel for Personal Use. If you are going to learn to use Excel for any other purpose, be sure to get a paid Excel course to help you learn. I found this to be the most useful method because Excel is so powerful. Once you understand the basics of Excel, you can learn to do pretty much anything.
With a spreadsheet, you will be able to have a more organized and logical design for your project plan. With spreadsheets, the size of the spreadsheet is going to be larger than with Excel. The reason is that you have a lot more cells and more ways to enter data.
Learn the Basics. One thing you want to do first is to know the basics of using spreadsheets. One of the best things to do first is to look at a sample project and learn how to add a couple of cells to be able to add numbers or dates. You will need to be able to do this before you start to put in the actual data.
Then learn the different types of cells and how to fill them out. Excel will let you do this by just dragging and dropping the cells you need to fill out. Some amazing tools can help you learn how to do this.
Put it to Work. The last thing you want to do before you get started is to find out how to work with Excel to find out if the design you have made is going to work or not. It is easy to do this with Excel. Just click the “Find” button in the Ribbon and see what information you get.
