In “Woodcock Johnson IV”, by Isabel De Los Rios, a former police investigator, a former federal judge and FBI agent, a retired professor at a prestigious university in Florida, the author describes her search for a missing teenager from the “Bay Area of the Mind” – the central hub of the Golden State. Her search takes her to the home of a teenager from a very wealthy family – and to a private investigator, Dr. Woodcock Johnson, who is on her trail as well.
The private eye and the ex-cop-turned-judge’s daughter are a match made in heaven, but what is more, there is more to Woodcock Johnson than meets the eye. And if you love mystery, suspense and thriller, then you will definitely enjoy this book.
As the title implies, this book starts with a look at Dr. Johnson and Woodcock Johnson IV. The author makes it a point to explore both men as they deal with a teenager who had gone missing just like Johnson’s son, John Taylor Johnson.
The story begins when a young boy goes missing from the home of a very wealthy family in the Bay Area. The author describes the story as if she were the police investigator that follows clues and investigates cases in the city she grew up in. The reader is introduced to some of the most interesting characters of all times and the author makes it clear that she is not writing an autobiography. This is a true crime story, but it has a lot of twists and turns and some very interesting characters.
Johnson is an ex-cop and a judge’s daughter. He is the father of the teen that went missing, Woodcock Johnson IV. He is also the attorney of a couple of prominent political figures that had a falling out because they had different ideas on how to run the state and were fighting over it. Johnson was also involved in the scandal of former state governor Gray Davis, whom is the mayor of San Francisco.
Woodcock Johnson IV was a popular athlete – and a player on the basketball team at an elite private school in the Bay Area. He had a long list of friends and associates, and even though he was dating an Asian woman, he kept it secret. Until he was found dead.
Johnson and his assistant Marylin are tasked with investigating a case involving a murder. Missing child and a series of murders in San Francisco.
This book is an interesting tale about a character that is very intriguing. I enjoyed the way the author describes the investigation and the way she relates it to the lives of many people in the area.
Johnson is one of the best characters in the book, so it is great that the writer includes him in the sample report. The author does a great job of describing how Johnson and Marylin were able to investigate the case and gather enough evidence to prove what they were looking for. While this book may not be the best example of a true crime book, it is a nice read.
The main problem with the book is that it is a bit slow. I wasn’t satisfied with the information the author presented, but I know that this is the author’s first published novel.
I have read a few of her books that have received rave reviews, so I would definitely check out these book review sites. If you are interested in reading her other works. I recommend this for people who are interested in learning more about her work.
In conclusion, I think that this is a very good book about a celebrity that was involved in a murder and the aftermath that followed. I enjoyed it and believe it will be enjoyed by many others. If you are looking for a book that can give you an insight into the life of a famous person and provide an interesting glimpse into their private world, then this is definitely the right book for you. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys crime fiction and/or is interested in the lives of famous people.
